All employees are required to wear a face mask at all times.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Screening Policy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ARS facilities are following Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines, and we have strong infection control policies, procedures and systems in place. As recommended by the CDC, our clinicians are screening all patients and employees for fever and respiratory symptoms, as well as administering a rapid COVID-19 test prior to admission.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A pre-admission acceptance is a preliminary determination that indicates you are appropriate for admission to our facility. Based on your presentation upon arrival or during your stay, it may be determined that a different facility may be more appropriate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Visitation Policy:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the safety of all patients, family members, visitors and staff, visitors may only enter an ARS facility during designated visitation times. A patient\u2019s treatment team must approve any visitor, and visitors are required to wear a facemask at all times. Knowing what to bring, what to leave behind and how to reach our Umatilla center sets the stage for lifelong recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3>What to Bring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This guide ensures you have everything you need while you\u2019re with us, so you can focus on what\u2019s really important \u2014 getting better. We recommend that new residents pack the following items for treatment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Two-weeks worth of season-appropriate clothing<\/li><li>Sweater or jacket for indoors<\/li><li>Comfortable sleepwear<\/li><li>One-piece swimsuits for ladies, knee-length board shorts for men<\/li><li>Toothbrush, unopened toothpaste, and alcohol-free mouthwash<\/li><li>Unopened shampoo and conditioner<\/li><li>Unopened sunscreen<\/li><li>Unopened face wash and moisturizer<\/li><li>Unopened lotion<\/li><li>Unopened lip balm<\/li><li>Unopened feminine products<\/li><li>Unopened makeup<\/li><li>Contact lenses and unopened contact solution (if necessary)<\/li><li>Glasses and\/or sunglasses<\/li><li>Hairbrush<\/li><li>Blow dryer\/styling tools (if desired)<\/li><li>Cigarettes or other approved tobacco products to last for the duration of treatment<\/li><li>Hobby items (journals, sketchbooks, etc.)<\/li><li>At least one form of government-issued ID<\/li><li>Necessary travel documentation<\/li><li>Relevant medical records<\/li><li>A list of family members and their contact information<\/li><li>A form of payment (debit card, credit card, cash or checkbook) for shopping during certain levels of care<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3>What Not to Bring<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Rehabilitation is an opportunity to distance yourself from the people, places and ways of thinking that contribute to your drug or alcohol use. Because of this, we prohibit patients from bringing certain items to The Recovery Village Umatilla to help them focus on recovery.&nbsp;<strong>Items not permitted at our facility include:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Drug or alcohol paraphernalia<\/li><li>Drugs or alcohol<\/li><li>Computers<\/li><li>Tablets<\/li><li>Cameras or handheld video or tape recorders<\/li><li>No electronic devices with cameras or internet access, including e-readers and smartwatches<\/li><li>Products that have alcohol listed in the first three ingredients (mouthwash, conditioner, etc.)<\/li><li>Hand sanitizer<\/li><li>Vaporizers (vapes) and electronic cigarettes<\/li><li>Dental floss (dental floss will be provided)<\/li><li>Opened toiletry products<\/li><li>Weapons (including pocket knives)<\/li><li>Clothing depicting drugs, drug paraphernalia, explicit language or images<\/li><li>Inappropriate, overly revealing clothing like short shorts and tank tops<\/li><li>Pornographic material<\/li><li>Card decks, games and sporting equipment<\/li><li>Aerosol products (hairspray, deodorant, etc.)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Travel Details&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Wherever you\u2019re coming from, our intake coordinators at The Recovery Village make sure you arrive at our center in a safe and timely manner. During the admissions process, all necessary travel accommodations are booked and confirmed by you or your loved ones. If you\u2019re traveling by air, you\u2019ll be picked you up from the airport and transported to the center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Expectations After Arrival&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To ensure the safety and sobriety of both new and current patients, each resident must consent to a search of both their person and belongings upon arrival at The Recovery Village Umatilla. During this search, staff members will collect any items not permitted during treatment and store them in a safe and secure place until your stay is over. Additional random searches may be conducted throughout your time at The Recovery Village Umatilla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Phone Use&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Because healing is your first priority, keeping distractions to a minimum is key for recovery. For the safety and privacy of all patients, cell phone will be securely stored upon arrival and signed in and out by your therapist during specific sessions. After an initial 72-hour stabilization period, you may use the facility phone three times per week for 20 minutes during non-clinical hours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Facility&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tucked away in a quaint, rural Central Florida town, The Recovery Village is an ideal setting for beginning your recovery. Typically, you will have a few different meals to choose from for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with vegetarian and vegan options available. Three snacks a day are also provided. No outside snacks or meals are permitted in the center. If you have any food allergies, please let us know prior to your arrival so we can appropriately accommodate you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Sleeping Arrangements&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Rooms at The Recovery Village Umatilla provide a comfortable place to rest during your recovery. Between two and three patients typically occupy each room. However, some rooms may house as many as four patients at a time. Each of these rooms includes one private bathroom that all of the room\u2019s residents share. The number of residents in each room may vary depending on your individual treatment stage and care needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>A Day in the Life&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Your days at The Recovery Village Umatilla will be spent learning how to live a life free from drug and alcohol use. You\u2019ll find new hobbies, make lasting connections with others and rediscover your own personal interests without relying on substances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As you move through the different levels of care, your daily life will change as you gain new insight and advance through treatment. Depending on the level of care, your day may include group and individual therapy sessions, recreational activities and more. While no two programs are exactly alike, you can expect personalized care and healing groups throughout your stay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Types of Therapy&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During your stay, you\u2019ll participate in a variety of personalized therapy sessions. These sessions are designed to help you conquer addiction by recognizing and overcoming triggers, personal scars and past struggles. Your treatment may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Cognitive Behavioral Therapy<\/li><li>Dialectic Behavioral Therapy<\/li><li>SMART Recovery<\/li><li>12-Step and Back to Basics<\/li><li>Gender-Specific Groups<\/li><li>Individual Counseling<\/li><li>Group Therapy<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2>Family Visits and Therapy&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During treatment, it\u2019s important to reconcile with yourself and your family. While some do better with long-distance family treatment, others may prefer to have visits from parents, spouses or other family members. Because connecting with your past is so important, therapy sessions are held once a week or as deemed clinically appropriate for visiting family members and monthly family weekends give loved ones an opportunity to see your growth firsthand while also participating in family therapy sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Off-Site Visits&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>While the majority of your treatment will take place at The Recovery Village Umatilla, there are off-site opportunities for those in the appropriate levels of care. Off-site visit opportunities are determined by level of care and medical needs. With a range of recreation options, including art therapy, animal therapy, yoga, a swimming pool and more available on-site, there are plenty of activities available to aid in your recovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>Update on Offsite Travel &amp; Activities Policy:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/em>For the safety of all patients, Advanced Recovery Systems is actively restricting offsite travel and activities until further notice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Smoke Breaks&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Recovery Village Umatilla allows residents to take periodic smoke breaks during designated times. The timing and frequency of these breaks will be determined based on situational medical recommendations and programming. If you smoke, you will need to bring enough unopened cigarettes or tobacco products for the anticipated length of your stay. Smoking cessation products may be offered during your treatment. Please note that vaporizers are not permitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>The Treatment Process&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a variety of treatment programs at The Recovery Village Umatilla, ranging from around-the-clock medical detox and residential care to outpatient care. The treatment programs that you participate in will depend on your own personal needs. Treatment often starts with medical drug and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.therecoveryvillage.com\/alcohol-abuse\/alcohol-detox\/\">alcohol detox<\/a>, an intensive process that typically takes between five and 10 days. From there, you\u2019ll either move to residential care, partial hospitalization or outpatient care, where you\u2019ll continue treatment before formulating an aftercare plan with your medical team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The entire treatment process varies in length based on individual needs, but often lasts between 35 and 45 days. After treatment, you\u2019ll have the option to transfer to sober living housing or return home, armed with an array of resources. That\u2019s why The Recovery Village provides a regulated medical detox plan and 24-hour care for those in residential treatment. Individualized clinical care and tapering ensures that you have a healthy and comfortable transition. Before leaving The Recovery Village, staff will provide you with a list of local resources and clinics for continuous care as you start your substance-free life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2>Alumni Program&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>During your treatment, you\u2019ll become a part of a dynamic recovery family. But that camaraderie doesn\u2019t end when you leave The Recovery Village Umatilla. Treatment&nbsp;<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>As you are probably aware, nearly all health insurance plans require you to pay some out-of-pocket costs in order to access your healthcare benefits. These expenses may include Deductibles, Co-Pays, Coinsurance % and Maximum Out-of-Pocket Expenses (collectively, the \u201cPatient Responsibility\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Your individual Patient Responsibility will vary based on a number of factors including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Your individual benefits plan<\/li><li>Length of stay at facility<\/li><li>Type of services received during treatment<\/li><li>Other services offered at facility, but not covered by your insurance provider (such as lab tests, non-covered prescriptions, etc.)<\/li><li>Reasonable boarding fees should you decide to stay with the facility for treatment at outpatient levels of care.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>An intake coordinator will review your Patient Responsibility with you at the time of admission or as soon as possible once you are medically stable. They will explain that the deductible is due upon admittance to the facility and the co-insurance amount and out-of-pocket balance will be billed and paid for after treatment once services are complete. On-site financial counselors will again review your financial responsibility during treatment with case managers who can help you navigate FMLA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>It is your responsibility to check with your insurance provider prior to admitting at The Recovery Village to understand your individual benefits plan.
